Custom Exercise Programming
Full recovery and optimal performance require doing the right exercise or corrective movement combined with manual therapy. That’s why a key part of sports medicine care at SHÈN is customizing exercise programs for our patients.
These programs range from robust overhauls to minor “tweaks” in posture. But the underlying belief remains “movement is medicine” and whether you’re coming back from an injury, trying to prevent an injury, or managing chronic pain – our movement based rehab will help restore strength, control, and confidence!
How a Custom Exercise Program Helps
The “first aid kit” of treatment at SHÈN – these personalized corrective movements and strength exercises are designed to “help you help yourself”.
Using Directional Preference (the McKenzie Method), Neurodynamics, and traditional strength training for stability and flexibility - our custom exercise programs will help you recover faster, get stronger, and remain functionally fit for a lifetime.
Our goal with the custom exercise program is to not just alleviate symptoms of your current suffering, but to set you up with the tools you might need while on the trail, on the slopes, or at the computer.

What to Expect
Our sports medicine sessions call on a combination of techniques based on your current injury, past injuries, and health goals. Expect a thorough exam, goal setting session, and a clear treatment plan. Your session will be tailored to where you are in your body currently and where you’d like to be by the end of treatment.
Our sports medicine practitioners may draw from systems like Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (McKenzie Method), Neurodynamics, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and more traditional functional movement patterns.
Your sessions include clear guidance and regular check-ins to adjust progressions or regressions as needed.
