How did you decide to go into your field?
I became interested in massage therapy when I was in my early 20’s. My sister and I went on a 4 month long backpacking trip. Each evening we would play cards for a massage and then proceed to work on each other’s tired and aching muscles. The massages at the end of our long days felt incredible but also prepared our bodies to work hard the next day. The comfort and healing power of touch intrigued me into seeking out professional massage as a way of giving my body a gift and enhancing my fitness goals. I wanted to then give that gift to others.
What makes you unique in your field?
“Finding all the spots” – I am skilled at finding the source of pain, discomfort, and tightness. My specialty is Trigger Point Therapy and targeted specific work.
What makes you excited about your work?
I love working with a kickass group of women with common goals. It brings me joy to connect with people and be a nurturing and healing part of their lives.
Favorite musician? Favorite food? Favorite TV show this year?
Recently it would be Tyler Childers. BBQ… ribs. No TV.
