How did you decide to go into your field?
I wanted to be a doctor from a really young age, but didn’t know about Naturopathic Medicine until I was in High School. From a young age, I can remember my parents treating my sister and my illnesses more naturally, and letting our bodies do the work to get better instead of just giving us cough medicine and just sending us back to school. I heard about Naturopathic Medicine from a family friend, and I went to see one in Wisconsin who was able to help me. After that, I was hooked! I hope to be able to help people in the same way I was helped. My passion is women’s health and hormones, digestion, and thyroid support, but have been trained and treat a wide variety of health concerns.
What makes you unique in your field?
I always try to start from a place of empathy and understanding for patients, and how their health concerns are affecting their life. I educate patients on their treatment plan and how it may help with their condition, so they can understand their condition and treatment plan better. I spend time with my patients to get a thorough history, so that we can get to the root cause and think out of the box to come up with solutions that others might not have thought of.
