Hair Analysis is a diagnostic and preventative medicine tool that has been around for several decades. It’s simple, accurate and noninvasive and only requires a small hair sample to reveal early stage imbalance(s).
Hair analysis allows for early detection of imbalances because the body will always sacrifice tissue first as there is a much narrower range of acceptability in the blood. Once the body reaches a threshold where it can no longer sustain homeostasis by sacrificing tissue, then we see blood lab values going outside the normal range. Therefore, imbalances that are identified at the tissue level are much easier to support and mitigate.
Treatment is not a simple matter of supplementing a low value but rather understanding WHY the mineral is deficient and how to support the organ systems collectively.
Hair samples are cut with scissors as close to the skin surface as possible and can be cut from either the head, body or pubic areas. It is important to note that hair cannot be dyed.
Typically three samples are collected for each patient. The first, with the initial wellness exam, then again in 3 and 6 months respectively to ensure diet and lifestyle modifications and supplements are being adjusted and tailored for optimal health.
